Industrial Internet of Things for Automation of a Lab-scale Benchmark Process
Published in Minia University, 2017
This undergraduate thesis focused on building an Industrial Internet of Things architecture for a lab-scale benchmark process with remote monitoring, distributed control, and real-time experimentation.
The work covered the full pipeline from system modeling and controller design to hardware-in-the-loop simulation and deployment on IoT-enabled embedded hardware. The quadruple-tank process was used as the benchmark application.
The resulting system combined supervisory control over a wireless network with decentralized PI control and demonstrated practical performance on a laboratory-scale testbed.
